Finding Our Identity, Purpose, and Calling

Second Baptist Student Ministry exists to move teenagers grades 6-12 and their families towards a personal relationship with God. Our hope is that every student will develop an understanding of their identity, purpose, and calling in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Join us this summer on Sunday Mornings (@ 9:15) and Wednesday nights (@ 6:00)!

Current Sunday & Wednesday Teaching Series

This Summer we are studying verse-by-verse through the book of James!

James: Faith in Action

“Well known and often quoted, James is concise, intensely practical, and filled with memorable metaphors and illustrations. As such, it has become one of the most popular New Testament books in the church.”

This book challenges us and charges us in many ways. It is not enough to merely “talk the talk” when it comes to our faith in Christ. James illustrates how saving faith results in a life that is changed in definite ways such as how we spend our money, how we speak about other people, and how we respond to trials and difficulties.

In addition to the incredibly practical insights found in this book, at the very heart of James’ message is the theme of wholehearted commitment to Christ.

Sunday Mornings | 9:15 AM

Students gather in the Student Building for a time of teaching and discussion groups on Sunday mornings. Groups are divided by age and gender as we spend our time studying God’s word together. Students are then invited to worship during SBC's main service time at 10:30 AM in the Main Worship Center.

Wednesday Nights | 6:00 PM

Wednesday nights at 6 PM, students are invited to a night of worship, teaching, and discussion, where they will go deeper into the Bible's implications for both their personal lives and the current culture. This gathering includes music, games, and small group breakouts for more in-depth application.
