Finding Our Identity, Purpose, and Calling
Second Baptist Student Ministry exists to move teenagers grades 6-12 and their families towards a personal relationship with God. Our hope is that every student will develop an understanding of their identity, purpose, and calling in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pathway to Discipleship
Under the umbrella of SBC's Discipleship Plan, our student ministry focuses on developing these particular values. We believe that the truth, goodness, and beauty of the gospel has the power to change our lives, and our approach to discipleship reflects that! These are the key pieces of our discipleship plan for 2021:
Sunday Mornings | 9:15 AM
Students gather in the Student Building for a time of teaching and discussion groups on Sunday mornings. Groups are divided by age and gender as we spend our time studying God’s word together. Students are then invited to worship during SBC's main service time at 10:30 AM in the Main Worship Center.
Wednesday Nights | 6:00 PM
Wednesday nights at 6 PM, students are invited to a night of worship, teaching, and discussion, where they will go deeper into the Bible's implications for both their personal lives and the current culture. This gathering includes music, games, and small group breakouts for more in-depth application.
