Austin

Austin is originally from northeast Missouri. He attended Truman State University to pursue music and continued his education to receive both masters and doctoral degrees from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, OH. Austin then worked as an adjunct professor at Wright State University and as a freelance musician. In August 2022, he joined the music faculty at OBU as an Assistant Professor of Music, teaching applied low brass and several music courses. Austin has served on worship teams since his teen years, and he is excited for how God will use him in this new role at Second.

Austin and his wife, Kirsten, have been members of Second since July 2022, and they are looking forward to being a part of the church’s mission. They have a sweet little girl, Ellie.
