Student Ministry

Second Baptist Student Ministry exists to help students and their families become empowered by God’s Spirit to encounter Him in worship, effectively share the gospel of Jesus Christ, equip believers and engage in servant-hearted ministry. We do that through corporate worship experiences, Bible study and service opportunities. Our student ministry is active in reaching to all students and families of different races and backgrounds.

Each Sunday night during the school year students gather for our Worship Arts Program. With tracks such as choir, band, worship team, graphic design, tech ministry and more there is something for everyone as we learn to use our gifts to worship God and lead others to worship Him! For more information contact our Student Pastor, Matt Parker.

WEDNESDAYS, 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Location: SBC Students Building

Overflow is our corporate worship service on Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. in the Student Building. The idea of Overflow is that our worship to God is a direct overflow of the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. Students arrive early, some after school, to play video games, hang out and sometimes even do homework. A typical Overflow will include games, worship, teaching, small groups and snacks. Everyone is welcome.
